Linguistix Tuition specialises in VCE English Language tutoring for Year 11 and Year 12 students. Our comprehensive lessons cover all aspects of the VCE English Language curriculum, including short answer questions, analytical commentaries, essay writing, exam preparation and more.
Our goal is to help students build confidence and achieve their full potential in VCE English Language.
English Language Units 1:2
In Unit 1, students explore the nature and functions of language, how it is structured and used, and how English has evolved over time. They investigate the social, historical and cultural factors driving linguistic change and apply metalanguage to analyse texts, considering how language reflects the needs, experiences and identities of its users.

In Unit 2, students examine how language varies according to audience, purpose and context. They analyse how linguistic choices construct meaning, identity and social relationships, and explore the impact of technology, media and globalisation on the ways English is used in contemporary society.
English Language Units 3:4
In Unit 3, students examine how language varies in formality and function, exploring how situational and social factors influence linguistic choices. They analyse how language is used to construct identity, manage relationships and reflect purposes.
In Unit 4, students investigate how language reflects and shapes both individual and group identities within Australian society. They explore attitudes towards varieties of English and how language use contributes to a sense of belonging and identity.
